Food Court

This post is a participation of the Weekly Writing Challenge 🙂

A group of kids in front of me, slightly to my right, a pair of them twins. A girl sat quietly with a boy, waiting. The twins ran around in circles, having an endless chase, something to do while they wait. Young man in blue, McDonald’s logo stitched on top of the shirt’s front pocket, came with a tray of food, handing them to the children. They light up; He teased one of them, scuffing the kid’s hair.

Guess they knew each other.

I was smiling all the time without realizing it.

And my chicken rice turned cold.
